Mistletoe Bowl

November 22, 2016

Our final limited edition design of 2016, Mistletoe. A celebration of Christmas through this richly symbolic evergreen plant.

Stealing kisses beneath a bough is a relatively new tradition associated with Mistletoe. It’s folklore is, in some places dark, however, in Yorkshire it’s been a symbol of living in harmony since Mediaeval times and this element of it’s history seems worthy of note and more relevant than ever.

Available to order at the end of November. Please join our emailing list for the notification.

Last year we were visited by Chris & Rob of the With Love Project

“With Love is a site dedicated to finding people who produce things with a passion and purpose. It is brought to you by Chris Roberts and Rob Evans and documents their search to find individuals who truly care about what they do and what they produce.

Asking one single question along the way… “Why do you do what you do?”

We are really pleased to have been included in the Film & Book. Thank you.

Soon to be screened at “The Independents Club” london follow @withloveproject for details  http://www.withloveproject.co.uk/

The Bluebell Limited Edition Bowl

June 16, 2015

The Bluebell Bowl is our new limited edition, celebrating the constancy of the seasons. The piece depicts an accurately scaled scene of these abundant flowers, captured on the way to Rosedale’s Dukka Bridge  – and serves as a permanent reminder of the delights of seeing the annual, joyous, brilliant festival of colour that is the English Bluebell.

They bloomed late in Rosedale this year but our patience was rewarded with banks of this beautiful flower bowing their heads in the late spring sunshine.

Available to order from 18th June

During the course of the event, there will be an open invitation to ‘meet the makers’ on Friday 8th May between 2-5pm, where members of the public are given the opportunity to see & speak to the exhibitors. Live demonstrations will also be taking place, enabling customers to learn more about the processes involved and the high level of skills required in order to produce these objects of superior quality.

In addition to glassware from Gillies Jones, Michael Ruh and Heather Gillespie, the Fortnum & Mason showcase will include the works of ceramicists Helen Beard and Chris Keenan, silversmiths Ndidi Ekubia and Shona Marsh, milliners Katherine Elizabeth, Emma Yeo and Bailey Tomlin, jewellers Ruth Tomlinson and Jesscia Poole.
