Ruskin Glass Centre – Stourbridge

December 5, 2011

Spent the weekend at the Ruskin Glass Centre in Stourbridge with glass cutter Richard Lamming. The centre has recently enjoyed a face lift and is a striking building inside & out. Their web site, linked above shows the full range of their facilities and latest news. The building houses artists workshops a hot shop and a cafe. The site is also home to the British Glass Biennale, and the next Biennale is August 2012.

Baldwin Guggisberg – Beyond Glass

November 16, 2011

The exhibition is beautiful and clearly shows their journey in every respect. On until 27th March 2012, if you find yourself in Geneva its is well worth the visit. The Book that accompanies the exhibition too is beautiful and worth adding a ‘glass books’ collection. On 24th November Philip & Monica will be at the Museum to talk about the work, more details here. Philip & Monica were the inspiring people to work for and we owe them a debt of gratitude.

1st Saturday November

November 2, 2009

November 7th is the last in the series of 1st Saturdays where we make glass between 11am – 3pm and take questions about the process.

and advance warning… we are open by appointment between 1st December 09 and 1st March 2010. We will most likely be at the studio working, as its a quiet creative time for us… you are still welcome to call into the studio, but best phone first as we do go off exploring and to see other exhibitions at this time of year.
