Within this this intimate space, we will show a collection of monochrome spun plates and bowls & spherical forms.
We are known for our colour sense, though we started life making monochrome original works and for this seasonal exhibition inspired by the winter landscapes of the North York Moors, we will be showing a new series of works created purely in black and white engraved glass.
Our current work, ‘Landscape Studies’, is informed by the visual experience of the remarkable landscape in which we live and work, at our studio in rural Ryedale, winter often brings extreme weather which transforms the view, as Kate explains, “With winter snow the landscape undergoes a huge change, becoming pared back and redefined by structure and lines, resembling a black and white drawing. Our new monochromatic work captures the essence of the North York Moors at this special time of year”.
This exhibition is supported by Ryedale Artworks, in partnership with Ryedale District Council
